Metadata provides search engines like Google with important information about the content and purpose of each individual page on your web store, which helps in determining their relevance in search results. In your admin dashboard, you have the ability to create metadata for content pages, category pages, and product pages.
Navigate to Catalog > Categories and click “Edit” next to a category for which you want to add metadata.
On the landing page, select Settings tab. Under Meta Settings section, fill in the details and click “Apply” to save your changes.
To bulk upload, you can leverage export/import feature to upload multiple metadata entries at a time.
Navigate to Catalog > Categories and click “Action” to select Export Metadata.
The downloaded file will contains all the categories. Fill in the metadata information as per column’s description.
Save the file and import it back by choosing Import Metadata from Action dropdown.
