Product variants allow you to create a pseudo product in commercebuild that does not exist in your ERP system. This allows you to easily combine similar (or dissimilar) items together for easy ordering.
The product variant will not be inserted into your ERP, only the products (components) chosen by the customer. This functionality is similar to a BOM explosion of a parent product into child components. The parent product number (pseudo product) is only in commercebuild.
This functionality is similar to fixed kit functionality in ERP software.
